Colorado DUI Consequences May Increase

Currently, the consequences of a DUI in Colorado are limited to a misdemeanor, no matter how many times the driver repeats the offense. Some, like Mark Waller, believe these penalties aren’t getting across to the public.  Waller is the representative for a newly introduced bill that would increase the penalty of a DUI if the driver has multiple offenses. If passed, the bill would change the penalties for those who have 3 DUI’s in 7 years, or a 4th DUI in their lifetime, and would result in a felony rather then a misdemeanor.
