According to 9News, The Colorado Department of Health revealed that there are problems with the State’s new Intoxilyzer 9000, and it will not certify the results of dozens of tests that occurred over the past year, many of which were likely to have been used to convict citizens arrested for DUI.
While the CDPHE is claiming the problem is isolated to one particular individual, the same spin was put on last year’s blood lab crisis, but the situation eventually led to the Governor shutting down the entire blood testing program.
The director of the Department of Health has to this point remained silent as to the issue involved and the discipline to the employer in question.
