Jamie is a Colorado native and attended the University of Colorado where she completed her undergraduate studies as a dual major in Psychology and Sociology. During her time at CU, Jamie was a member of the Psychology Psi Chi National Honors Society, and lead several departmental studies on various social psychology topics as a research assistant. Jamie also interned as an addiction counselor at a facility designed for the rehabilitation of women with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health concerns. While studying for her LSATs, Jamie worked as a Court Judicial Assistant in the Denver County District Court. This experience allowed her to see the inner-workings of court systems, and develop a relationship with the court staff.

Jamie attended the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, where she obtained her law degree in 2016. During her time at Hofstra, Jamie served as Treasurer and President of the Public Justice Foundation, which provides scholarships to law students working in the public legal sector. She received the Pro Bono Leadership award in 2016 for her dedication to providing legal services to all people.  Jamie interned at multiple law firms during law school, gaining experience in several different areas of law. Jamie was also a part of the Criminal Justice Clinic at Hofstra.

Upon graduating and passing the bar exam, Jamie was hired by the Colorado Public Defender’s Office as Deputy Public Defender. Initially, Jamie represented indigent clients who were charged with misdemeanor offenses. After considerable training, including a week-long intensive trial preparation course, she was selected to represent those charged with more serious felony offenses. Because of her experience as a Deputy Public Defender, Jamie is well-versed at handling a large case load, maintaining relationships with clients, and negotiating with District Attorneys. After almost three years with the Public Defender’s Office, Jamie accepted an offer to come work for Tiftickjian Law Firm as a DUI trial attorney.

Jamie has an exceptional reputation as a trial attorney. Her creativity in forming defenses, ability to identify issues, and her acknowledgement of the unique circumstances of each case, have afforded the majority of her clients not guilty verdicts at trial. She has a strong devotion to obtaining the best possible outcome for every client’s case.

Jamie’s trial and negotiation experience coupled with her compassion and tireless support for her clients makes her an exceptional addition to our team. She places a priority on giving each case her personal attention and understands the importance of client communication.
